Feb 9, 2010: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Monday donated around 1000 books to the upcoming Anna Centenary Library, a state-of-the-art public library being built at Kotturpuram in Chennai.

The Chief Minister handed over the books to G Thiruvasagam, Vice-Chancellor, University of Madras, and his team of students, who were collecting books for the library, which is a dream project of Karunanidhi.

Speaking to reporters, Thiruvasagam said that when he along with students met the Chief Minister at his residence to handover the collections, he presented his personal collection.
