Mar 10, 2010: The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday announced a series of transfers and postings in the police department, which it said would come into effect immediately.

T Radhakrishnan, IGP, state traffic planning cell, Chennai, has been promoted as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and posted as ADGP, civil supplies CID, in place of S K Dogra who, has been transferred.

Dogra has been transferred and posted as ADGP/Director of civil defence and additional commandant general, Home Guards, chennai in place of C V Rao, who has been transferred and posted as ADGP, traffic planning cell,an official release said Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), crime&traffic, Trichy, Rupesh Kumar Meena has been posted as DCP (Law and order) Trichy in the existing vacancy.

R Tamil Chandran, Superintendent of Police (SP) has been posted as DCP, crime and traffic, Trichy. K Mohan,Additional Superintendent of Police,police training college,Chennai has been promoted as SP and posted in the rank at Tamil Nadu police academy,Chennai in the existing vacancy. S Angamuthu, Additional Superintendent of Police, crime, Erode, has been promoted as Superintendent of police and posted as SP/commandant, tamil nadu special police IX Bn., Manimuthar in the existing vacancy.

R Chandrasekaran, ASP, prohibition enforcement wing, Virudhungar, has been promoted as Superintendent of Police and posted as SP/Principal, temporary police training college, Perurani, Thoothukadi in the existing vacancy.

P Vilvarani Murugan, ADCP, Central crime branch-I, Chennai police, chennai, has been promoted as SP and posted as DCP, Flower Bazaar, chennai police in place of K Shamugavel, transferred and posted as Deputy commissioner of police, T Nagar, chennai police in the existing vacancy. S Nizamudheen, Additional Superintendent of Police, High Court vigilance, chennai, has been promoted as SP and posted as DCP, crime and traffic, Tirunelveli.
